Transportation
A dedicated vehicle will be at our disposal throughout the retreat, ensuring seamless
transportation for our entire group.
Airport - The retreat leaders will organize transfers to and from the airport based on
participants' arrival and departure schedules. To facilitate smooth pickup arrangements,
travel itineraries must be emailed to CaminoEncantado888@gmail.com no later than March 20, 2024.
For the safety and convenience of all our guests, we kindly encourage everyone to remain at the airport upon arrival until the designated driver picks you up. The driver’s contact information will be provided as the beginning of the retreat approaches.
Retreat - Private transportation will be available for all guests at all times between the hotel and activity locations. Some locations are conveniently situated within walking distance of the hotel.
Activities - All major activities will be scheduled and coordinated by your retreat leaders. An itinerary will be provided before the retreat. Free time will be allotted and included in the itinerary.

Is English spoken in Mexico? English is spoken throughout the country, more so in tourist areas. For the most part, people in Cuatro Cienegas do speak English. If you run into any problems, contact one of your retreat leaders. Alejandra is fluent in Spanish.
What currency is used in Mexico? The currency used in Mexico is the Peso (MN). Currently, the exchange rate has ranged from $16.50MN to $17.50MN to the US dollar. Credit cards are accepted in Cuatro Cienegas in most stores and restaurants. However, some locations only accept cash. ATMs are available throughout Cuatro Cienegas and there is one available for your conscience at the hotel. If interested, a great app to use for daily exchange rates is Xe.
Visa Requirements/Travel Documents? A visa is not required when traveling as a tourist from Canada or The United States for up to 180 days. A valid passport is required.
How much should I budget for tips? Tips are optional in Mexico. However, it is customary to offer a small tip for exceptional service. Tipping amounts vary widely, though some travelers report that $2-$10/ day for your guide and $1-$3/ day for your driver is common. Partial gratuity is included for some of the activities. A supplemental gratuity would be appreciated, but not expected.
